Depending on the chosen speciality, the training courses take place at different locations.
We welcome you to our headquarters in Obertshausen for training courses about warp knitting on Tricot, Raschel and double-needle bar machines. Training courses on weft insertion or multiaxial machines are held at KARL MAYER Technische Textilien in Chemnitz.

  • eLearning Introduction to warp knitting

    Training duration: The average learning time is 6 hours.

    Target group : Users without special training in warp knitting (machine operators, staff from machine maintenance, sales, agency, managers, junior staff for warp knitting)

    This eLearning covers the theoretical part of our basic training “Introduction to warp knitting”. It might be followed by a practical training in our Academy. It gives you the opportunity to learn about warp knitting at your own pace, whenever you have time and wherever you are.

  • Practical introduction to warp knitting (Part 2)

    Training duration: 1 week

    Target group : This course is for all those who have successfully completed the eLearning "Basics of Warp Knitting" (eWKB) and want to expand their knowledge in practical work on machines (machine operators, personnel from the field of machine maintenance, textile developers, sales, representation, managers, promotion of young talent for warp knitting).

    This course builds on the eLearning "Basics of warp knitting". It completes the basic knowledge with the practical component and offers the opportunity to delve further into warp knitting.

  • Webinar Basics of Warp Knitting

    Training duration: 2 meetings with 2 hours each (4 hours in total)

    Target group : This course is suitable for learners who do not yet have experience in warp knitting. (Machine operators, personnel from the areas of machine maintenance, textile developers, sales, representation, managers, promotion of young talent for warp knitting).

    This webinar offers the opportunity for a first theoretical introduction to warp knitting in direct dialog with our trainers. It is feasible from your chosen environment and can be optimally integrated into your everyday life.

  • Advanced course for warp knitting machines (WKS)

    Training duration: 3 weeks

    Target group : Users with experience in warp knitting (textile machine operator, head of knitting mill, staff belonging to the management, service, as well as pattern drafting and pattern preparation)

    This training course is mainly based on the basic knowledge imparted during the WKB course. The learned skills and acquired knowledge are further enhanced during this course, and examples in practice are carried out on KARL MAYER tricot machines.

  • Advanced course for Multibar Raschel machines (WKM)

    Training duration: 1 week

    Target group : Operators with experience in warp knitting such as textile machine operators, heads of production, designers, pattern developers, staff belonging to the management or working in pattern drafting and pattern preparation.

    This training course is built on the basic knowledge acquired during the WKB course. The acquired knowledge is further enhanced by getting to know KARL MAYER Mulitbar Raschel and Jacquard Raschel machines.

  • Advanced course for double-needle bar Raschel machines (WKD)

    Training duration: 2 weeks

    Target group : Operators with advanced experience in warp knitting such as e. g. operators of textile machines, heads of production, designers, pattern developers, staff in the management section as well as personnel employed in pattern drafting and preparation.

    Mainly based on the principles imparted during the WKB course, the learned skills and acquired knowledge are further enhanced in this course. Examples like Spacer fabrics, plush and seamless in theory and practice carried out on double Raschel machines complete the training.

  • Introduction to fabric analysis of single face fabrics

    Training duration: 1 week

    Target group : Users with professional experience in warp knitting, such as product developers, production managers, staff belonging to the management, as well as employees from pattern drafting and pattern preparation sections.

    This training course deals with the analysis and microscoping of different warp-knitted patterns and/or fabric samples. The results are various bindings and material combinations that are converted into reproducible lapping diagrams. This analysis course builds on the knowledge that is acquired during the “Advanced course of warp knitting machines”(WKS). Therefore, we would recommend you take part in the fabric analysis course after having finished the WKS course.

    This course builds on the eLearning "WEFTTRONIC® II G". It completes the basic knowledge with the practical component and offers the opportunity to delve further into working with a WEFTTRONIC® II G.
